Hi Flowing a ct20 Fri, 11 February 2005 05:56 Go to next message
Was wondering if anybody had done this and what results they achieved? Will Hi-flowing increase lag?

Hi flowing should reduce lag. A better alternative would be to fit a CT26.

i've heard ct26's are much laggier as they are bigger though.
Was also wondering if the standard 3tgte computer would handle a high-flowed turbo?

I've got a high-flowed CT-20 that I'm fitting to my 3T-GTE, probably this weekend, won't see any results for a few weeks probably as I'll have to get the new wolf tuned as well...

It would be wise to consider an aftermarket ECU before highflowing the turbo Confused

Highflowing will not reduce lag in most cases.

The CT26 in standard form is not particularly laggy, and offers much better flow potential than the CT20. Its been covered dozens of times, and is a relatively easy fit.

I had a CT20b from the ST205 GT-Four, which was a ceramic wheel. Had this replaced with a 56-trim steel variant and stuffed the guts of a CT26 in the CT20b shell. Spins up real nice too, though mine still isn't tuned right, so it feels doughy down low. I'm hoping the tune will fix this problem. Very Happy
