mate looking good, but it seems that the calipers are not big enough for the rotors. i dont know much about the JZA80 but couldnt you have used their calipers?

First of all have you priced supra calipers recently?? Because those discs arent for those calipers it looks bad. All the pad facing are on the disc so its all good.

All info for group buy is in the brake section. Tell you how it works soon. Have only dummy fitted atm. Trying to find wheels to fit. Need about 50ish offset looks like.

I'm in agreeance with Allan. This is a very similar situation to what Michael was in with his MA61 brake upgrade. While it would probably work very well as is, it would be better to have a caliper with a larger pad area. Have a look at some of the EVO or STI Brembo stuff maybe as an alternative, or to open up the market so you might grab some cheaper.
As for the whole pad being used, the whole pad is used on the 280mm discs those calipers come with from the factory.

It would, but since the nissan calipers are a quater of the price its only logical.

That I'd say would probably be a retrograde step, they are only for a 296mm rotor, so it would probably look very similar.

I would go two pots only because it wouldnt justify the costs involved. Nissan 4 spots do work very well. Yes it doesnt cover the disc but for the cost of alternative Brembo calipers the cost the exercise would not be justified for an everyday street car. End of the day it has to be affordable for us to enjoy. Thats how I read in to it.

Yep, it is the case, but as pointed out, the Brembo's are very pricey.
Mind you, I picked up my Evo V pair for < $550, and you can buy NEW Porsche Monoblock calipers for about $750 each (and that is full retail), so someone with trade would get a better deal.....

Yes, but then add in another $100 to cleanup/reseal, and the Porsche ones are bigger, monoblock, stiffer and have HUGE pads
The setup that you have come up with is a good compromise for a reasonable price
Cheers

What we need is the Alcon Grex kit or Brembo F40s, if someone else pays for it
