I really thought xA6x celica and supra struts were completely interchangeable ,and when people put say RA60 struts in an Ma6x for extra neg cam, that that was all they swapped.

I have a pair of xA6x supra 30mm RCAs that I bought a long time ago in the original celicasupra group buy that I haven't installed yet, and I'm wondering if I'll have to shop for another set.

Any thoughts?

I swapped the strut tubes around as you mentioned and had no issues, so I suspect that they should fit.

I can't get the topic that you mentioned up, so don't know what was said in it.

Best thing is to try it and see, bit I had no probs

Cheers

The celicasupra forums were hacked a while ago & restarted as far as I can tell. Basically, the yanks were convinced that xA6x supra RCAs would not fit celicas.

I'll find out when I do it - if it was definete "no, they won't fit", then I'd order another pair of RCAs sooner rather than later. If people definetly swap just the struts when doing the RA60 strut into Ma6x conversion, however, I think I'll be fine. Thanks.

Apparently whiteline dis some for the RA65's and I believe these are the ones that don't fit the MA61/RA60

Not correct. People in the US were saying that ones made to suit an xa6x supra would not suit an xa6x celica.

Whiteline do make some to suit xA6x, but last time I checked they were the same part # as AE86, which is plain wrong, as these are definelty different. Different lower strut bolt pattern. Might just be an error on their website. I'm not sure if they're celica-specific or supra-specific - if they're to suit both, I guess that answers my question.

FWIW I bought mine off the first celicasupra.com group buy a long time ago, and they've been sititng on the shelf waiting to go in at the same time as other suspension upgrades.

Like I said, no probs, so it looks like whiteline are wrong, and the yank cars may be different to the ones here, or they are worng also.

2nd one Razz

Nah the yanks are pretty good with their engines despite most being old tech... just dont let them develop brakes or suspension Smile

Hmmm I must investigate.
