hi, my rwd bigport 4age's timing is set at 50 degrees and when turned down it doesnt work. i've found this has happend to a few people and the only idea's are that the throttle position sensor is stuffed or the car is stuck in diagnostic mode. any more ideas? also where can i get a new TPS for this thing, toyota? please help asap.
thanks, Pat

uhmm you are putting the car into diagnostic mode when checking the timing arent you??? and the idle is set within factory limits?
I think i recall factory idle bieng 7-800rpm or maybe its 8-900rpm??
you need to bridge T1 and TE1 connectors before you start the car to check the timing

thanks for the reply. the idle is fine, i'll ask the mechanic which checked it if he bridged the connectors.
cheers, Pat

looks like the current TPS is off a fwd bigport and has been modified to fit... badly. i really need a rwd TPS, has anyone got a spare tvis intake setup? it hangs of the side of that.
cheers, Pat
