When his brakes failed while driving down a steep mountain road, Marco bailed out on his eight passengers and leapt from his Dodge van. Too bad Marco didn't alert the others to the problem before he took flight so precipitously. Another passenger was able to bring the vehicle to a stop a short distance away. Marco struck his head on the pavement and died at the scene. No one else was injured.
(25 November 2000, Australia) At the Spring Nationals country festival in Shepparton, a celebration truck drove noisily down Main Street at a sedate pace of 5mph, with frolicking people climbed all over it. The sight of the slow-moving truck gave a visitor from Cranbourne a bright idea. He decided to surf along behind the truck.
All decked out in his big Mexican hat, with a can of beer in one hand and a rope attached to the back of the truck in the other, he slid along the surface of the road on a piece of cardboard, having a wonderful time… until the rope caught beneath the truck, and he was pulled under the wheels. As if becoming a human speed hump isn't amusing enough, the photo on the front page of the newspaper showed the body in a body bag -- with the Mexican hat beside it!
7 March 2002, Colorado) When Gerald was pulled over by police for erratic driving, he decided it was better to flee from the stolen car on foot, rather than face possible jail time for a parole violation. This was the first of two successive mental lapses. Gerald’s actual thoughts are unknown, but *may* have been something like this: "The officers are only suspicious and alert now... I’ll make them hot, sweaty, tired, and angry by leading them on a wild chase through dark alleys and fields."
During the subsequent foot chase, Gerald attempted to dissuade officers from the pursuit by firing a 9mm Ruger semiautomatic handgun blindly over his shoulder. This was the second illustration of a potential mental deficiency. "Officers are running behind me. They have guns. I have a gun! They have eyes in the front of their heads, so they can see to aim at me. I don't have eyes in the back of my head, so I’ll fire wildly behind me and see what happens!"
Unfortunately, Gerald appears to have been one of those folks who can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Or at least he couldn’t flee and fire at the same time. While discharging the weapon over his shoulder, Gerald managed to shoot himself in the head with his own gun, bringing the chase to a sudden conclusion.
Four shots were fired, none by the officers, who found Gerald's pistol next to his fallen body. Gerald was transported to a local hospital where he expired the following day, thus removing a set of genes deficient in both judgment and coordination from the gene pool.

but in case you are not. he did not "stick" his head on the pavement, as he fell from the car he "struck"(hit) his head on the pavement, causing death.

Hi,
Dumb people, if they're not doing something dumb that affects you, supply almost endless mirth and amusement.
Back in the late 70's I was a technician for the TAB. I was stuck in the workshop doing borad repauirs, while the board-jockeys would drive about the place in Hi Ace vans (yanno the old style ones).
Anyway one of these guys was a total boofhead and he had an accident one day. Late ron we found out exactly what happened....
He heard some noise from the front drivers wheel and decided the best way to check it out was to "run besdie the car" while it was moving. So, he parked it on a gentle slope and let it roll while he walked beside it. As the vehicle picked up pace he began to run. He couldn't make it back in the cabin as the car headed for a brick wall. So, he jumped in front of it 'cos he didn't think it was going that fast. He broke his leg and got pretty badly bruised and all that.
Not only was I totally gobsmacked that someone could be so dumb but I almost wet my pants when I heard about it. The senior techs gave this guy shit and took the piss out of him until he left the company after a few months.
One of the apprentices then got that van and he wrote it off the first day he had it. Not only had he never driven a manual, but he had never driven a van and when he turned a corner he turned like he was in a normal car and rammed into a telegraph pole.

the utter stupidity of some people amazes even me, even today, some stupid bitch on the freeway, tailgated a car in the lane next to me, just so i could see her waving her arms and shouting shit so i would speed up, fucked if im going to speed, so i kept me speed, about 30 seconds later she over took me, doing the same stupid shit, and all she got was a cheeky little smile and the thumbs up from me, congratulaions, your a tool... fucking honda prelude drivers..
