Replacing MTEU motor with 5ME, Distributor wiring. Mon, 14 February 2005 09:26 Go to next message
Can someone help I have replaced the 2Ltr turbo MTEU motor with a 5ME into a 1986 Mk1 Soarer. So that the wiring loom would work I have used the MTEU distributor. (this distributor advance is controlled by the computer. I have had to advance the timing as the computer retards the timing, to get the motor to run.The motor runs rich also.)
Is there a way to use this distributor or a way to wire up the original 5ME distributor.
