Hey man, this is exactly what i am looking for, if its got rego and not a whole lotta rust then it will serve my purposes well. Does this mean you have all logs as its had one owner its whole life? Can you post pics or else send to garth@designpsi.com would be great. Only problem is i'm in Sydney but i'm sure we could work something out if the car fits the bill. At that price it will get snapped up and i want to be the one doing the snapping. I use to own one of these and love the cars  Cheers

There is a little rust. I mean, nothing like some of the old Corolla's i've seen, thats for sure! I'll get some pix tomorrow when the light is good, plus I have the day off.
Logs, well I presume all the original drivers manual and stuff is in the glovebox. My father services it every 5,000km.

cool man, get some pics up would be great. Also exactly where is rust, normal spots- petrol cap, wheel arches, roof etc? has the car been garaged or street parked and for how long of each?

ok its like fully sold, to me, the fact that its red is the final part of getting my first red ke 55 rocket back!!!!!!
love to see pics and see how bad the rust is, but cutting out a bit of rust on weekends is to be expected, so long as its not structural? i can handle arches etc? if i have to chnage from vic to nsw plated does that mean some complicated slip and the rta or whoever going over it with a fine tooth comb, if so that will suck? try be honest with me, but has it had trouble passing rego in the past few years and come april is it likely to get through without doing anything, or anyhting major? cheers.

No structural rust. I've got no idea what is involved in getting it regoed in NSW, I would presume they would treat it as if it was an unregoed car going in to get registered. As far as I know the car would pass a roadworthy, appart from the rust, of course. I'll get under the car and take pix of stuff like brake lines, blah blah blah, things they look at for a RWC here in Vic. Don't know if you know, but here in Vic, you only have to get a RWC done when the car gets registered after being unregistered, or when the car changes hands. Anything you want pix of, i'll take pix of. A picture tells a 1000 words is what they say!

Hey dude, any further news? Looks to be a fair ammount of rust, more than i would have hoped and without having a good look at it first hand i'm not willing to buy any car with that much rust and i wasnt planning on flying to Geelong this weekend. Nonetheless hope it finds a good home and i'll keep looking for another one of these in Sydney. I'm in no real hurry so dont want to rush into a buy, will wait for the right car for me to pop up. Though this car is awesome as it is exactly the same as my first car, ah the memories
