The T50 is not the strongest box around. And they do struggle with 156KW running through it.
If you are keen I also have a Supra gear box with custom bellhousing that I am currently fitting.I might sell it with the engine package for an extra fee. Then you should have trouble free motoring. As long as you have a strong diff.

Dudes!
Are you really interested in such a mild package for such a large price?? I am sure it goes great and everything but with a standard computer and weak gearbox do you really think it is worth that much? Throw a SIV 13BT in there and with a stock setup it would smoke 156rwkw. I know 4AGZE's are expensive to set up for rearwheel drive but damn!

Hi there, a few updates since the zoom article are a supra gearbox, and commodore lsd with billet axles (shortened obviously). I am the new owner of the car, and the proceeds from the sale Garreth is using to fund his 13BT ute project. I have an MTX-8 sitting at home ready to fit, it would allow bigger injectors to be run (the current limiting factor for applying more boost) but its bloody hard to beat the driveability and smoothness, in all conditions of the factory computer, so at this stage the MTX-8 can be used elsewhere. There are always more powerful engines around, but it's good to have something different and the power it has is plenty of fun on the streets (enough to get into trouble with). It's getting a run at Eastern creek in a couple of weeks on the 1/4 so that should be fun.
Milhouse, as a fellow Canberran you might be keen to give your car a run up there too, always heaps of tuff cars there, from high 8 second passes to 22 second passes last time we were there. If you've got a 13BT in something then you should go alright.
Hi Dennis how's it going down in Melbourne? The sprinter still on the road down there. Still thinking Supra?

Attn Milhouse
I would be keen to see this stock series 4 13B that would smoke a 156kw 4AGZE(on only 14.5 PSI), I happen to own a SIV 13B turbo and I know for a fact that it is not as quick, smooth, reliable or have as much torque as the 4AGZE, and with the standard turbo on the series IV you are very limited in what power you can actually get out of the engine, if you know a bit about rotary engines you will realise that if you want big power you have to spend big bucks. You obviously have no idea about what things cost or you would realise that what cames in this package is actually not to bad value for money.
If you own a car that is other than stock it would be good to see you at Eastern Creek for some drag racing.
It would be good to hear from you again Milhouse and your wealth of knowledge about value and performance.

Hi Widowmaker,
The engine setup is no longer for sale, as I bought the car only a couple of weeks ago from my brother (who was planning to sell the engine etc, but has a different car now). For your questions regarding the setup and chassis mods:
* If you are talking about fitting this sort of setup into a sprinter then you would not need any chassis mods, possibly (but probably not) a bit of transmission tunnel massaging to fit the supra gearbox (if that is what you use) obviously the sprinter box is no probs, its already there.
* My car is using a supra gearbox and dellow bellhousing. It was killing T-50 gearboxes pretty easily, even when treated nicely.
* The diff is a Commodore item with a brand new 4.1:1 LSD centre with custom made billet axles. The previous diff that was run was a celica item and it snapped 3 or 4 axles with that set up, hence the new diff.
*****Does anyone know how to put the sold thing on the post so people know it's gone???*****

Get Garreth to edit his original post, he can put a **sold** in the topic line I think.
What car did the highflowed T28 on your 4AGTE come from? I've just finished changing over my turbo from a highflowed CT26 to a stock S14 200SX T28 today. It is so much more driveable now, with little or no lag compared to the big lazy CT26. What exactly was done with the highflow? A larger compressor wheel?
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,
I took the easy option and purchased the KE25 because the KE20 I was putting together was just taking too long to get any where with. As far as I can remember the turbo came off a twin turbo set up on a skyline (I may be wrong) the high flow meant a change to a larger compressor wheel, it was noticibly bigger to look at but the exact size??? I'd be keen to have a look at your TE27 one day. I remeber that when my car was running the turbo in standard form it made boost a little earlier than it does now, but it appears to have full boost a bit before 3000rpm now which seems ok (haven't really looked at the rpm it starts making boost). What gearbox and bellhousing did you end up going with?
Cheers,
Shane.

Do you still have all the bits from the white AE71 panelvan too?
I've still got the T50 gearbox. I cant believe its lasted this long. The standard T28 on mine now makes 5psi at 2500rpm, and full boost by 3000rpm.
Do you ever take the KE25 through braddon? I've seen garreth in it a couple of times, we could check them out one friday...

Hi Phil.
I still have all the bits from the panel van except the gearbox, I sold that yesterday (and a big fat dude who is going to get his head taken off when his winch cable snaps took the bent shell away).
I think the T50's seem to last ok, once they are a bit sloppy and worn they can be killed pretty quickly, but that's understandable. The T28 seems like a good size for the 4AG's boosts up nice and early and goes hard right through to the red line.
I haven't taken the car through Braddon yet, but if it's not raining this Friday I might take it out. Many other people who post on Toymods go out there? I haven't been there for ages. I saw a fleet of the FWD wedge shaped corollas ripping through civic a couple of weeks ago, and a sweet looking reddish coloured KE20. Let us know if yourself or anyone else is going out there on Friday and at what time, we could get a few Toyotas together. Maybe I should start a post on the ACT forum bit and see if anyone is keen?
Shane.

yeah mate, i'll be out there this friday provided I dont bust a diff or gearbox before then. I'd be keen to check out the rolla. I was supposed to drop around ages ago & have a look at it when garreth was changing the diff, but was stranded without a car that weekend.
what's your mobile number? I can give you a call on friday to meet up.
