driving to work one morning in my old TA22 (wrecking it now) whenit had the welded locker in it. 3 lanes turn right and i was in the far left lane, semi trailer in the middle and 4WD in the right.

turned right off the lights. full swing out crossed all 3 lanes missing the semi trailer by about a couple inches (i could literally pout my hand out and touch the truck) and then head on into the 4WD.

that then launched me in the air and into a spin mid air over the meddian strip and on to the other side of the road where there was on coming traffic.

keepo in mind this was a 70k zone. so i quickly start the car again after it stalled and drove right backl over the meddian strip.

due to the toughness of the TA22 and the other car being a 4WD there was very minor damage but my car was still considered a write off

ok, away from the more serious crashes for the moment...

heres one to make u both laugh and cry at the same time

We had a motorkana with out club over here at an old air force base and a beautiful p type ma61 showed up and raced... went all day without any mishaps except the odd 180/360 and then on his last run, proceeded to find the power pole that none of us even knew was there...
he went down the strait into the sweeper a little too fast and she crabbed out, he saw the power pole a tad too late...
inspecting the damage afterwards, the dent goes in that far tht it literally exploded the tailgate window and pieces of the glass were found in the engine bay (he was running no bonnet)
on further inspection after he got it home, the dent stopped less than an inch off that huge chassis rail style thing that the mk2's have got.

but, some good news and the reason we all look back and laugh, the car is fixed and you cant even tell that its happened Smile

at least he did this at a controlled event, not out on the streets

i wont post the pics in here as they are quite big pics, but heres the links to them

as a further little laugh, this is the same motorkana i came inches away from writing off the nose of my celica... i'd been using the handbrake to get round the tight corners and it had been holding all day and then suddenly the rear wheels just let go and i ended up doing a dance around a different powerpole, rear wheel marks were a perfect circle around the pole and the nose would have been about and inch or 2 away from it....
also same day, an turbo sw20 almost wrote himself off as well, got carried away, spun off the track and stopped a matter of inches before a tree slammed the passengers door...

suffice to say, we never having a motorkana there again...

DAMMM!!!!! I feel his pain that looks nasty.

I'll never forget the time i rolled a rolled my datsun 120y in my top paddock.
I'd been fanging around the place all night.
Ripping on the handbrake while my friends were sitting on the door sills.
Then about the 5th/6th time i came around this hair pin corner in the wet grass doing like 70kms when the outside back tyre broke the seal on the rim and launched us into the air.
I remember looking out the window and seeing the ground disapearand thinking "this has never happened before"
then that nasty sound of metal crunching and glass breaking.

The car rolled like 3 times and stoped in the driverside i opened my eyes and saw the ground next to my window.
Then I knew what had happened.
The car was fine it didn't even stop running. I just pumped up the rear tyre and off we went. Well off i went no1 wanted to come in the car with me after that.

That was my 1st and last real crash.

about 2 months earlyer i put the same car into a bank.

I also ran my SA63 into the back of a mates SA63 when we were driving drunk up my driveway doing burnouts and shit like that. He stopped to do a U turn and I was too drunk to see i just thought he had bright brake lights, then by the time i had realized he wasn't moving it was too late i locked up the wheels and even tryed pulling the handbrake and putting the car in reverse then trying to drive backwards.
But to no avail.
I hit him with a massive THUD !
Then i tryed to do a 3 point turn and reversed into a ditch.
T'was not a great night.
