A few of us that have done it have written out some of the basics a few times, guess if you have specific questions, ask...

yer i had the basic gist of what to do but im not the most mechanically minded person! my main concers where
-will the gearbox and engine crossmembers bolt up to the factory bolt holes
-does anything needed to be changed with the crossmember fitament
-does anyone have a "blonde style" de3scripion of how to do the pedal box and hydraulic clutch conversion
-doe sthe ae71 tailshaft bolt straight up to the ke70 diff
that all i can remember for now but if you oculd help with these that would be great

Sorry to revive an old post
I have an AE71. I bought a FWD GE for $300 earlier this year. It came with loom/computer and vl fuel pump.
Being a 71 I obviously don't have the crossmember and clutch problems to sort out for the conversion coz they are already there with the T50 but what is actually involved in doing the conversion from here?
I want to strip down the engine and replace the rings and bearings first.
I have been told the 4AC oil sump bolts straight on which means the first part of rwd conv is sorted if this is true.
What has to be done to the head? And how much will it cost for this part.
RWD exhaust manifold should be around $100 saw one for sale not too long ago.
Is the wiring difficult?
What has to be done with the intake manifold? $?
Doing the work myself should i get this in and done for less than $800 or is that optimistic?

4AC sump - why? The 4AG one is fine as it is.
The head? not too much, only things you need to look at is the water pipes, and that's been kindly covered by WITZL a long time ago.
RWD manifold = good choice, if you see one for sale, grab it.
The wiring is fairly straightforward.
The intake manifold is pretty simple too, just make up the relevant parts yourself, and give someone with a TIG $10 to stick it together for you.
$800 is just about achievable so long as you can include a clutch (if needed), exhaust work (if you don't do it yourself) and all the bits'n'pieces (e.g. hoses etc.), and can do everything yourself.
