ST185RC Brake rotors Fri, 18 February 2005 21:15 Go to next message
i need to know the specs for the rotors for an st185rc. i have some twin piston calipers off one on one of our mr2's and i want to get some better discs in there then the stock 258mm. the diameter is fine as the pads are in full contact with the disc face however i feel they are not thick enough which leads to heat issues but more importantly if i let the pads wear down too much (ive been checking) they pistons may not remain captive.

ive checked the DBA cat but they just list it as the same rotor as the ST185 but i was pretty sure that the standard 185 was a larger diameter disc with the single piston caliper.

any chance someone with one could measure them up. diameter and thickness. (or at least read the min thickness stamping on them)

Sounds like you got the import gt4 brakes which are 258mmx25mm, also the same as a corona st191 sf
