guys and girls.. here it is... the car you have been waiting for.... my new corolla!!!!
Expect to be seeing this little baby around for the next little while as i get my act together and fix me up a celica!
For those who are interested, here is the more specific information:
KE50 trueno corolla
engine: 3K, 1200cc POS
g'Box: K50 (5 spd!!)
Body: patchy to say the least
This car is the only version of the japanese TE51/55 levin/sprinter trueno that made it to aus. Pity we didn't see the TE51/55 here in aus cos they came with the lovely 2t-geu motor!! not the anchor 3K.

Nice car, the only one in Oz! As long as it gets you from A to B that's the main thing. I'm about to start doing up one of my Celica's as well!

Great little 'rolla. Nees an aircraft wing on the back, and a letterbox. Nice bonnet vents too.

well this isn't the ONLY ONE IN AUS.. this model is the only of this type that toyota released in aus. sorry for confusion there

I was kidding about the 4. 2 would be great!
We can play dodgems on the street after our real cars are finished! Did that the other day with a mates $300 sigma. guess who came out on top? lets just say it pays to have a towbar and a 2 tonne tank.

good luck, with your celica restore, should be great, mad lil corolla you got there, if its not a celica you can alwayas go back to the rolla's.

Nice car! These are mighty rare but I thought there were more than 1 or 2 that made it to Aust. I've seen some of these b4 here (in poo brown colour).

hey! i aint trading a celica for a rolla! im just using this old girl to get me around while i get the celica up to a road going status.
Yeah they are rare.. this was the only model (the KE50 liftback) that came to australia (that doesnt mean that there were only like 3 or 4 released, just that there were a few different models of this type... but we only saw this one). The poo brown would be cool... but we will see what happens to the paint later.... 
WORK DONE THUS FAR: bogged up and painted the rust, fixed hole in exhaust, cleaned up engine and isolated oil leak (no longer leaking)

yeah the tacho dash RULES!!! pity i dont have the awesome "super-guage" dash that the TE's have (like 8 guages or something!!)
well it's a the mechanic right now, getting new shocks up front, new bushes for the rear leafs and getting the blue slip inspection. I apparently missed one spot of rust, which i will have to fix to get the bluey, and then she's ON THE ROAD!!! YEAH BABY!!

Did they come out with a 5 speed in 'em?? I know that up to the KE25s they were 4 speed.

after the KE25's, they apparently came with the option of either 4 or 5 sp... thank god mine is a 5 speed!!
