How much would it cost to put a manual R154 box in a '88 MA70 turbo (Auto)?
what needs to be done?

Um not sure on the prices probably $1500 for a R154 tho...they are pretty expensive, couple of hundred for the other stuff I guess.
Will need...
Manual Flywheel, Manual Brake Pedal (Auto one will be too large), Clutch Pedal, Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, Clutch, Pressure Plate, Throw Out Bearing, Clutch Fork, Lengthen Drive shaft...probably missed something tho!

No, the auto ECU works fine... the only side effect is the overdrive light on the dash will blink constantly.

got my HKS PFC that I would put on it, it was on an auto ecu, but a manual car. and yeah the O/D does flash on my car.

too right

while this wont affect the car. i havent done it on mine because i'm not sure if the ecu changes the fuel curve (or anything else for that matter) while ECT is engaged.
can anyone shed any light on this?
oh yeah, just for reference, my auto-man conv cost about $1000, including everything.
but that is the ma61/mx73 model swap, so parts are prolly cheaper, gbox + clutch especially, but just as hard to come by
