Dodgy Dodgy Hotmail!
I just tried to download a file my mate sent me in firefox. After clicking through the built in scanner. Turns out that even though it tries firefox can't open powerpoint files.
No problem I say, ill open up internet explorer and see how it goes. What do you know the virus scanner shows up a virus. I scratch my head and go back and check in firefox, yup still no virus when I attempt to open it there...
Given that this scan is supposed to be server side this seems weird!
That is highly dodgy and Microsoft should get a swift ass kicking!

Simple fix, don't use Hotmail. Don't put up with your emails being deleted for no reason and the service going down once a month.

haha yeah I have about 5 email addresses... I only use hotmail for signing up to dodgy sites (ie. developers forums where I need to find a piece of code to solve something.) where I am likely to get spam and stuff.
I occasionally transfer emails home on it when someone sends something dodgy to my work email...
Thanks for the offer nark Ill keep it in mind, but I have 2 domains that I can set myself emails up on at will!

hehe Yeah, I run my own mail server, so I just create a new alias each time I'm asked for an email address. That way I can track who gives out email addresses...
