Oil lines for a single turbo 1G

I was just wondering, when putting a single turbo on the 1G, should you T the two oil inlet lines together and then run that to the new turbo oil inlet. I am using a TD05. Consequently, is it alright to use the oil drain line off just one of the CT12s to be the oil drain from the new turbo.
I hope that didn't sound too confusing
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

id say u need two of those lines for inlet and oulet as the bigger turbo wil have more oil flow through it to keep it lubricated and cooled
try and see if u can merge the two inlets and outlets into one

I don't know about 1g's but everyone who I have seen to a single turbo 1jz has just used one of the oil inlets and blocked the other. With my outlet pipe, I got the stock Y setup modded so that there was only one hole there and fitted the pipe to it.

Ok thanks guys, I think I'll have to merge the two to make sure the turbo is getting enough oil.

you dont need to merge the two, just block one off and use the other one. Have now done this on 3 single turbo 1g's and havent had any problems with them.

just use 1 of them
how much oil do u think it needs? its got to go thru a tiny hole in the turbo anyway

Yep Block off one of the oil drains and use only one.
a key thing is though, make sure it's still gravity fed. Otherwise you'll block your turbo.

Ok this is the 3rd persons car testa dura has worked on with this oil line blocking technique, block one just by cutting the pipe that comes out of the head close to the banjo bolt and crimp and weld the end. Its that simple, or you could block it with a bolt, watever tickles your fancy.
Cheers Adam
