AMPLIFIER INFO - "SENS" ??????

What does the SENS terminal do on an aplifier, i dont have a manual for it and i ahve searched. i'm guessing its how u turn it on through the head unit?

sounds the way.. senses when the head unit powers up.
head unit will usually have a remote aerial and a remote amp wire, for that purpose

i'm not using the amp with a head unit, i'm hooking it up to a mp3 player. do u know what voltage the SENS switch needs? a +12v line with a switch should do shouldnt it?
