3sge problems Mon, 21 February 2005 12:03 Go to next message
I have recently rebuilt my engine....we had some teething problems which seemed to be continuing....idling at 2000rpm, then it will rev as though I was patting the accelerator..once warn, ten minutes or so it would calm down the the usual 8-900....Now!...accelerating from a stop it will not want to pick up in speed until 3000 revs....At speed on the highway it would pick up also at the same rev limit.....The car has been on the road now for a few weeks..I have been to the coast in it, long trips, but haven't really given it a gun....just this week the engine seems to have gone to shit....no power at all, and a horrible sound, like that of having a large hole in the exhaust, it pulsates and shakes, causing the car to no run smooth at all....If there is anyone that can help, It would be much appreciated.

berad -> even so that's not likely to cause huge problems - maybe after 50,000k the engine will show unusually premature wear but I digress.

Dude -> your engine is buggered and it has probably been put back together poorly, try again is my best advice Very Happy Or take it to a trustworthy mechanic.
