Ok guys i need a few urgent questions answered *please*
1 - Are SA63/RA65/RA60 the same speedo cable as MA61?? My MA61 one is rooted and they are not available new.
2 - Where can i get Braided Hose, and how much is it roughly? It needs to be braided hose for OIL use.
3 - Now that i have my MSD ignition coil, and the full electonic dizzy...where is my tacho signal going to come from?? I've never taken a signal of one of these electronic controlled v8s before thats all
4 - anyone in brisbane got a frypan filter frame to suit a 750 holley for me to borrow for a month to get me to tamworth? (not going to have time to make my custom jobbie)
Thanks Guys
Blake

Yep, speedo cables are all the same. (I thought you had the SA63 one anyway?)
Yep off the coil.
Yeah why the fudge does it have to be braided? Unless you are referring to a layer of internal braiding? So in essence just HP oil safe line? I'd suggest repco as a start, then enzed etc.
Cheers

word of caution: if you are using an MSD ignition box to drive the coil then it will have a tacho output, those boxes drive the coil at several hundred volts and taking a signal from (-) on the coil will kill the tacho. Some of them also send multiple triggers to the coil.
if the dizzi has a built-in HEI ignitor then it too 'should' have a tacho output.
however, if you've setup old fashion points ignition then go for the coil.
if you want full-flow oil ines, try aeroquip blue hose with matching push-on fittings - no swagging or heavy duty clamps, but the actual 'pushing on' of hoses is a test of mind, body and your descriptive vocabulary.
