Wagonist's 1996 Caldina

I've decided to sell the Caldina to fund the completion of the project I'm in the process of completing.
A couple of updates:
1/4 mile: 18.45s (WSID 16 Feb 05)
Not blisteringly quick but is favourable compared with mid-late 80s small-mid size petrol cars like Colt, Pulsar, etc.
Wakefield Racetrack: 1:22:95 with crap tyres & not a good lap in there.
700km range of city driving @ $55.
I have driven from Sydney to Brisbane on one tank of fuel (880km)
1996 Caldina FZ
Koni adjustable inserts (@ 80 000km): have about another 3/4 turn left after 65 000km (would have about that same distance left again)
Rear disc brake conversion (Celica ST184)
ABS
dual airbags
remote central locking
immobiliser
electric windows
electric mirrors
air con
power steer
Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar
2.5" exhaust from turbo dump with 1 tiny (length) straight through muffler & 4" dumpy
uprated ST184 Celica clutch (@ 90 000km)
factory TZ rear spoiler
Morette twin headlight conversion
modified front bar
rego until Nov 05
factory roofracks
oh yeah... a towbar too
5 spd manual front wheel drive
145 000km
2.0L SOHC 2C-T turbo diesel (yes I know, but it isn't all that slow)
sub 7L/100km highway economy (850+ km to 60L tank)
approx 8L/100km city economy (approx 700km per tank)
serviced religiously (oil every 5 000km, oil & air filters every 10 000km, fuel filter every 20 000km) Diesel engines don't like being neglected.
timing belt changed at 100 000km
New battery (710CCA ) 12/8/05
New front wheel bearings 20/7/05
A list of contacts to get parts from will also be supplied.
Price minus WRX front seats, 17" rims, ST205 front brakes, twin headlight conversion: $13 000
Price as is: $17 000
Deal for somewhere in between could also be worked out.
Note that I'm keeping the numberplate.
I have investigated the possibilties of doing a petrol 3S conversion & it is very easy with bolt in parts only & no fabrication required (a list of these with approx prices can be provided for anyone interested)

I need to sell this to put money to my next project.
Need a nice economical car for the folks, sister? I can quite easily remove the fully sik bits to put it back to almost stock.

So what's closer to your budget (& don't say $500 )
I bought this car in 2001 for $17000 with some minor damage (so add about $1000 or so)
The depreciation is almost impossible to work out due to the rareness of these so I've taken a stab at what I might consider it to be worth.
If you think its way too high, or just a little, give me an offer, I can only say no.

Ok, I've found a Caldina 3S-GTE halfcut for sale here in Sydney.
It is a bolt in proposition for my car & if bolted in should be completely legal & would enable you to win the "Most Improved" trophy at successive dyno days by the biggest amount in history (65kw at the fly to 195kW, that's 300% )
The chassis work to take this power has already been done with the brake & suspension upgrades.
The half cut is advertised for $3500 (which is too much in my opinion as its minus the manual 4wd gearbox) & could be in the car (minus labour) for about another $1000 on top of that (to upgrade the gearbox). Sale of the existing motor & gearbox should relieve some funds.
