hi all, my name is sam and i live in QLD i just brought my 1st car, its a 84 toyota soarer i only gave the guy 2k for it but then i had to spend about 300-400 on it to get it all good but i got all the stuff done for under 1/2 price because i am an mechanic app, and now all the drive train is A1, the engine is so crap but i will still get like 1-2 years out of it. and in like 6 to 8 months i am going to take out a 5 or 10k loan.i am looking to do an engine conversion with ether the 1G-G twin turbo or superchaged or a 1JZ but i want to now with would be cheaper and can i still use my stock auto gearbox and drive train?

A 1GGTE or 1GGZE would be cheaper than a 1JZ no problems. Personally, I'd be getting the auto from the 1GGTE and using that, it'll add SFA to the price anyway.

You current auto isn't going to hold any more power.
You will need to use the auto that comes with the new box.
The 1GGTE, the 1GGZE, and the 1JZGTE are all good possibilites.
10k should do any easy, especially if you do the work yourself.
