firstly I would see if the place where it happened has security cameras, if it does then its not hard to figure out the correct course of action to take.
But then on the other hand we all know that nothing will get done. Try going back ther the same time next week, see if they are still there, if they are call the cops and say those guys are doing burnouts, get the fuckers defected lol.

advise local police that:
... a vehicle with loud exhaust, full of leering blokes, and has number plates <insert plate> was regularly seen loitering around the prmiary school where you pickup your children adn they didn't collect any children...
or any story that infers that they are: child molesters, secretly taking pictures of young women, selling drugs, street racing, etc.
failing that, purchase several marine flares, remove identifying marks, ignite inside/under the offenders vehicle - i'm joking about this obviously but i've always wondered what this would look like.

i recon you find the car and buy 4litres of brake fluid and pour it all over the car. then sit there till he goes to get in the car and watch his reaction when he tries to wipe it all off

Had a neighbour throw a plastic bottle at my car as I was backing out, impatient bastard 
Anyway I toyed with the idea of throwing something at his car, which is conveniently parked under my bedroom window. However eggs or bottles would probably cause too much damage since I live on the third floor.
Instead i've opted for a more subtle tactic Tyre valve stems are easy to damage & cheap to replace but it's a real pain in the arse to come outside and find you've got two flat tyres...

For my own curiosity do you have any pics of the damage done to your own car?
As for what to do, go down to the pizza place & ask if they know if there are any security cameras around or whether they have noticed the guys hanging around at all on a regular basis,
If all else fails take the matter into your own hands but i wouldn't suggest writing about it on the internet.

I dont have ne pics at the moment, the damage wasnt major, just a few small dents and paint chips. I dunno wot i am doin yet i am jus toying with ideas, and the point of getting him back isnt purely coz he threw bottles at my car, if i do it, it will be so he doesnt do it again to anyones car.

If somebody said that to me i would have called the cops and got them booked for drinking in a public place.
