Offering $500 to wire up computer Wed, 23 February 2005 05:44 Go to next message
I have a Microtech LT8 and a 3TGTE in a T18. I used to have the motor in a celica and I have the loom from that, it was wired to a stock ecu. I am looking for someone who will wire up the Microtech (which has a loom to suit an FJ20 (i think)) to the 3TGTE in the T18.
The car is in Balwyn in victoria.
Anyone who is interested, call me on 0401-885-860
Thanks
Pip

Have you had the computer converted to use the 3T sensors?

Have you had the computer converted to use the 3T sensors?

And if you haven't have you found out a way to work around the fact Microtech will no longer reprogram them?

Hrm, I would be interested, Particularly given I live in Lower Templestowe.

But I don't know enough about microtechs and sensors.
How much info do you have on the equipment? I wired up my own haltech IG5 and that gave suitable fuckups - and i still managed to fix that.

So microtech doesn't handle the 3t sensors?

I havent had the computer changed for the 3TGTE sensors, and given what frank says...I take it thats a complete f#&k up!!

Is there anyway around this??

For stradlater - I dont have any info on the equipment, I was hoping for some toyota nut that knew everything. But I'll see how i go

Well, I got the microtech wiring diagrams. It couldn't be that hard. Provided that the 3t sensors will work with a lt-12
Or, maybe you can convert them to the holden ones and use those like the haltechs do

I'm not really sure what you mean...when u say convert to holden sensors, are you talking about physically installing holden throttle posi sensors and O2 sensors and everything else??

Yeah, that's right.

Yes Frank, that is right. However. I know that a lot of ECU manufacturers make their systems to work on a standard type of sensor. Take haltech for example. Their sensors are the same as the ones in the JC Camira and the likes. So, instead of fucking around with my toyota sensors, I simply unscrewed the toyota sensors and screwed in a holden sensor. Then it was wired in and it worked. So if microtech either A) will work with the toyota sensors or B) have a standard that you can convert to , then you are in business.

So I just rang microtech, and spoke to Maztech. I didnt ring them to begin coz I thought they just dealt with rotars. They said they'd reprogram the computer for a toyota for $250, and they also saids they'd wire it and dyno it for $500....so i guess this was a big waste of everyones time, but I got a good price.
Anyway thanks for all your input!!
