tail shaft isnt a major drama if ur supplied with the yoke, u can take it to a tailshaft specialist and they can lenghten it if need be put on the yoke and balance it, cant see it being any more then 200-300 bucks
if u want 270rwkw ur going to need a pretty tough clutch, get a twin plate (2kish)if u can afford it, or cheap way would be a cermic 9 puck exeddy (under 1k) i beleive someone is seilling a hks twin plate on the forums right now for a ok price.

are you SURE about that? ive had auto yokes, and from memory they dont fit...i specifically had to go to a wreckers and look through about 150 hilux shafts to find the yoke i needed

1 final question, is there a difference in the diff ratio from auto to manual? Will this work to give me a better acceleration with lower top speed or the opposite?

im quite sure that an auto gearbox will yeild you quicker 0 - 100 and 1/4 mile times in most cases

My speedo stayed the same (accuracy) when I converted from manual to auto, so I guess that they are probably the same in the Soarer.

The stock auto in my 92 mx83 cressida achieved 100k with lower engine revs than the r154 I have now that came from a jza70.diff is same as before.Cheers.Pete. ps.hks twin plate for sale $1500.
