Anybody (with experience) know what EXACTLY is involved in turning normal doors into suicide doors?
Ive got a 1989 Celsior and i want to have the rear doors as suicides. Like a rolls royce.
obviously the hinges have to be moved to the other side and the door catch and the handle. but exactly how much work is all of that? how many hours approx or how much would you expect to pay for the parts+labour?
Im in Qld so if anyone from brissie knows of a place other than the shitty car-mods places (aresspeed dmd jetspeed) please let me know about it.
Thanks

Rear doors are trickier as there is less to hang them from and harder to get the panels behind, therefore costs go up. Front doors can be done by swapping pillars side to side and it is then easier for an engineer to accept as you are using factory mounting points, hinges etc.

Hey Dr Love,
Like your thinkin with the rear doors, should look unreal.
Try talking to Burnin Customs in QLD (can't remeber their wesite, but do a search) they should be able to help you out.
As for the door handles, you would be better of shaving them so you have a nice smooth door and then install some door poppers to push the doors open. Again Burnin Customs can help you out.

thanks for the advice all.
i was thinking of shaving the handles and maybe putting the new "handles" as remote/inside open only. Dunno yet.
i bet i cheap out when it gets that far and just put a button in it.
oh well ill see how it goes.
