Quality of Exedy Clutches? Thu, 24 February 2005 12:00 Go to next message
Hey... my clutch recently began slipping and now I am looking to get it replaced. Would anyone know how good exedy clutch kits are?

Thanks in advance for your help guys/gals...

Exedy clutches are fine.

Just make sure you get one that can handle the output of your motor.

Mine is handling 240kW and 400Nm quite happily.

Daiken / Exedy have a huge range from OEM replacement clutches all the way through to triple plate monsters.
So long as you buy a clutch that is appropriate for your application and you will be fine.

i think exedy are very good, better than PBR etc. ive been through the warehouse and you should see some of the clutches they have, they have really nice tripple plate jobs, i think the one for a 2JZ was about $7000 Very Happy
but if you have a car that can out-perform one of their organic sports tuff kits, your doing very well indeed. Smile

I can now vouch for the Exedy, having had one installed this morning. Very Happy (Thanks Kev).

'exedy is certified to the highest possible quality standard :QS-9000 and ISO90001' - Fast Fours clutch buyers guide.

They didn't say that about any other manufacture.
