New Corollas - Which is the fastest model?

Hey guys,
My parents are looking at getting a new corolla. Just curious as to which one the new ones is the faster model?
The one they just brought home to test drive was a Toyota Ascent, had vvti and 16valve. I took it for a spin and it seemed fair quick, about the same, if not faster than my 4age.
So, which is the model with the best engine? Excuse my ignorance.

Sportivo.
It's got the 140kW 2ZZ-GE (Celica engine).

Mate,. it was by far the KE20 with a 4sp 3k,... 
Every time i get into it, I am surprised by it's lack of POWAH!!!

seems they all have :
Maximum Power 100kW @ 6000rpm
Maximum Torque 171Nm @ 4200rpm
For all models except the sportivo. Not to bad really, and they only weigh about 1100-1190.

there is no diference between any of the corolla's except for the Sportivo. they all have the 100kw engine and the levin has all options and i think they have upgraded suspension and little bits like that.
I wouldn't by a corolla for performance tho. (again, except for the Sportivo). Good reliable cars, but performace has always been ??????? from someone who's family have owned almost every single model of Corolla's.

I drive a 2003 ascent which is the base model:
pretty much in order of base model to top of range:
ascent --> bugger all options standard
conquest --> some options standard
Toyota Team Racing (TTR) --> different interior and slightly upgraded
Levin --> stiffer suspension, few more options as standard
Sportivo --> mack daddy corolla. Has the higher hp engine, all of the options as standard apart from SAT NAV.
All have some pretty decent aftermarket stuff...though 1zzfe (all bar sportivo) currently has a larger range of gear as the mr2 and the 'matrix' (America) have these engines......
for a daily driver it's quick enough - it's no race car but again it's no slouch.
