Undoing Tough Bolts! Sun, 27 February 2005 00:29 Go to next message
Hi Guys,

Just trying to fit my lovelly new Cusco strut bar and I'm having a hell of a time undoing those 3 bolts on top of the struts so I can put my strut bar on. Are these bolts under any pressure? My dads nicked the car with a good socket set in it too, so I'm stuck with a shifter Embarassed

Anyone around Hornsby, bored and have a good socket/strong arm set they want to lend me for the arvo?

I may just have to put this little project on hold until my Dad gets home tomorrow with the socket set Crying or Very Sad

use a socket, a shifter will only round the nuts.

use a breaker bar if you have one
shouldnt be too hard to get off

None of those fancy techniques required, just a decent sidchrome racheted socket set and we had all six bolts undone in like 2 minutes Smile

Final results was a happily fitted cusco rear strut brace, yay.

N/A SW20's actually only have 1 diagonal support, not the 2 that your Turbo version does, so it makes tonnes of difference for me, for yours probably not so much.

What am I going to do with "TEH LOVEMAKER"? Surely the "White Bar Of Doom" would have helped out more Laughing
