Urgent help req'd 3sge pistons Sun, 27 February 2005 02:30 Go to next message
Hi all please excuse my ignorance but i have a small problem. I have a N/A 3SGE in a little clubman that is getting close to needing an o/haul and was wondering?.

Will turbo 9-5 to 1 pistons work in an N/A engine, can we still get some compression if we deck block ,head mods etc?

reason is, Confused I can get some brand new good quality "j+E forged pistons on some Eagle rods for a realy good price{any cheaper and I'd be arrested for theft] but i have to let the bloke no tonight and i have no idea if they will work or not

any help would be geatly appreciated
cheers kaspa Confused

the block doesn't have the nice oil squiters for the piston or higher strength cylinder sleeves.

This was brought up just recently 'block differences between turbo, and non-turbo 3S blocks'

You would have to shave shite loads off the head, and then the valve cuts in the pistons would not be deep enough.

Wiesco pistons are the best value for money for 3SGE / 3SGTE (I rang around)
