ST165 Brake revisions

Hello all,
can someone tell me if there were more than 1 revision of brakes to the ST165 GT4?
I bought some ST165 brakes and ordered some pads for them. They however do not fit, I sent in the sample pads i got with the brakes and was told they are the same as the pads from the ST185 celica 89-91.
Did the late model 165s share the same brakes as early ST185s?
Cheers
-Adam.

I have no idea, on the road car GT4s I'm fairly sure there was only one design of two-piston caliper fitted and I don't think they are the same as the 185s. But you never know...

From what I have read very early ST165's were single piston calipers while the later models were 2 piston jobbies' and yes, they later ones shared the same brake pads with the first ST185's.

Thanks guys for the replies.
I suspected as much.
The ones I have are Twin Piston, the look large compared to the ST162 brakes
the rear calipers look very similar to 162 ones, are they much better?
