i am trying to do this with my ra 40 it requires a custom caliper bracket and a suitable disc (one where the hight isn't too much).
i believe cool1 is in the process of designing a brake setup using the rx7 series 4/5 calliper for an ra40 strut and hub which would be compatible i think.

Hi,

The RA25/TA27 brake system is the same as the TA22 system. I don't know if the RA23/RA28 system is the same as the TA22. So, if the mods Cool1 is doing is for the TA22 then I guess you're okay, if they're for the RA23/28 then maybe you need to do some more checking.

The struts are different between the TA22 and RA23 - that's why you can't fit the Supra 14x7 rims in the front of a TA22 without them scrubbing on full lock, but they fit on the RA23 without a problem. It's not a big issue to get around, but one you should be aware of.

Pricey, somewhere in the vacinity of 1700 odd dollars. Try www.hoopers.com.au they do a big arse BA Falcon brake upgrade for the front of a celica just as long as you use a XT130 corona strut.

river,
The RA23/28 has different calipers and (larger) rotors than the TA22.
Mitch.
