Painting wheels Mon, 28 February 2005 05:34 Go to next message
i've got the centres out of my Simmons V4's to get painted

most places want $80-$100 each wheel to paint them with 2 coats including acid dip
another place can powder coat all 8 for $200 $300, but that is with sand blasting rather than a acid dip

will sand blasting damage the wheels?
and would powder coat be better/linger lasting?

any recommendations of a good place to take em?

have you actually got a quote from simmons as to refinishing them??
they pull them all apart, repaint them, and can replace any inners / outers if they need to be. . .
at least its assured that they will be done properly.
