URGENT! Help with Gen 2 3S-GE (SW20) crank angle sensor Mon, 28 February 2005 08:46 Go to next message
is the crank angle sensor on the gen 2 motor 4 point or 360 point, apparently i cant run CDI if its only a 4 point sensor. if its a 360 i can meaning ill get a Microtech LTX10S not the LTX8S, but i wanna place my order tomorrow so any thoughts/suggestions tonight will be HUGELY appreciated.

Its 360 point.

They often have to be modified for 4 point when used on autronics and the like.

Someone wanna back me up on that?

can i ask how much extra you expect to be able to tune out of a 3sge with a microtech?

My mr2 as per the other thread pulled 95.4kw on the dyno the other night.

Inspection of air fuel ratios showed it to be pretty perfect from low to mid rpm and safely rich for the top end. Thus with different engine management and a leaner top end more could be extracted.

Then i wonder how much extra and since your gonna go for computer upgrade on your 3sge i am curious as to whether the difference would be worth the $$$

3SGE has 2 top dead centre reluctors ( 2 pulses per dissy revolution - 1 pulse per engine revolution) and a single 24 point reluctor (24 pulses per dissy revolution, 12 pulses per engine revolution.

Some people grind a few of the 24 pins off to make then 4 pin.
