Well its just about time for me to buy a 205 3S-GTE half cut but i'm not sure exactly what to get! I'll be fitting the engine to my TA22 so, lets hear what the rest of you think!
Which is the better engine and which cut would be the best to get for all the extra bits that come with it?

I'd go GT4 as then you'll get the bigger intercooler plus also get front struts/brakes which you may be able to use.

If its an st205 cut, get the gt4.
But if its an st185 or st165 probably not as easy choice.
You'll have difficulty finding an mr2 half cut that late model...
MR2 has the alternator mounted at the back of the motor, gt4 at the front.... considering the angle of the motor this may make it more compact if using the standard brackets for the ancilaries.
GT4 intercooler is top mounted - dunno if that will be any use.
MR2 is smallish, but mught fit in the front of a '22.
An MR2 radiator would be a good find, low profile, might fit quite well.

Thanks fellas. One on the reasons I was thinking about getting the GT4 was for the radiator!
The intercooler in the GT4 is a water to air type is it not?
