OF HOT4S THREAD - 100+ cars expected
Guys and girls the time has come for the modified car industry and all the p platers out there to show Australia how we put on a cruise for charity and do it responsibly.
This event has huge coverage including a channel 9 news crew from the today show which will be doing a story on our cruise. Hot 4’s , 2DAMAX aswell as other magazines on the day. Local radio stations will also be checking out the event !!!
Highway patrol and the RTA have approved the event and sent me a letter confirming that, they havent given me a guarentee that they wont defect any cars, which means that they will not set up a defect station but if they feel a car is way to bad to be on the road they cant not do there job and not defect it. Of coursestreet racing and burnouts will not be tolerated by them and we are on show to the country via channel 9 to show them that the modified car industry is not full of hoons and people that care about the community.
A team from the salvos will be coming down with us and we will have some gorgeous models walking round with the donation bins.
There will be trophies on the day with on cruise judging for the top cars in different catagories.

Meeting point for sydney : P6 carpark
Time: 10:30
Meeting point for central coast : To be advised
Time: 11.00
Meeting point for newcastle: Newcastle Knights stadium carpark where there will be a representative of the cruise in charge there
Time: 11.00
The final destination is at Bateau Bay sports and rec fields (also known as EDSACC).
Turn off the freeway at the Wyong Exit (if you come to the twin servos you have gone too far). At the end of the exit you will come to a stop sign, turn right here, this will take you onto Wyong Road. You will Follow Wyong road for a good 15 minutes, go straight through every roundabout on Wyong road. you will go through 15 roundabouts in total until you come to the Shelly Beach roundabout, here you will turn right onto The Entrance Road. Try to get into the left hand lane and then turn left at the next roundabout and your there!!!. the entrance to the carpark will be on your right and there should be a school on your left... you cant miss it.
The same applies for the Newcastle people, only they turn left at the wyong exit.
*Just wanted to let everyone know that the members from the salvo's which shall be attending our cruise and providing the donation buckets aswell as making a speech on the day are Major Paul and Romana Kinder.

I wonder what the police escort will be like, with 100+ cars there will be cars split up in traffic its virtually impossible to go together, we were split going to cronulla in groups of around 10.

you can pretty much be guaranteed it will be bigger because this time there is a lot of autosalon cars, and many clubs and performance shops are taking their cars, i cant wait .
Check this out different areas will have different meeting points, i can say 150+ cars and that would be minimum.

hmm what i don't get is, why would a cruise with public attention be necessary if Hot 4's and all affiliations are responsible and not in the same basket as the current 'P plater' issues already?
I just think it's going to largen the already bad image of car enthusiests - and i couldn't think of a better mob to start!

I have to agree with you on both your statments here.
your the driver you choose how fast you drive nobodys holding a gun to your head saying "faster,faster"so it is up to YOU.
and yes I agree it's not just the young people that do the wrong thing on the roads, being an ex-interstate truck driver, mate I've seen it all young,old,male,female,bikes,cars & trucks the thing is it's the individual's attitude.

yep, your're both right.
But unfortunenately it only takes one young driver, not necessarily a P plater, on that cruise to give the whole event a bad name in turn, increasing the already negative attention to modified cars - regardless of P platers or not.
Just take a look at that last cruise, i mean, it wasn't even a cruise for charity/cause etc, and look what happened? The public rolled their eyes at these cars, hell, even modifed car owners of other assosciations had an opinion of distaste.
But if all goes well, then I'm sure it'd be a good cause to attend.

if you have a problem just come back via the old pac, if i come along i know i'll head back that way, no better way to finish off a day of cruising than twisties.... the again there are people who drive up there 20-30km/h under the limit
i think i'll try and meet up with this cruise at some point, although i doubt i'll make it the whole way due to work sunday arvo/night.

Hey guys,
Im definately coming because the group from redline made me. If I had a choice I wouldn't come at all. Im not a bigger cruiser and also for some other reasons i shouldn't mention. If anyone does come from this forum I drive a red sprinter. Prob the crappiest car on the cruise compared the show goers. Anyways come and say hello and ill intro you guys to most of the crew.

Dont worry there will be plenty of Toymods cruises, Toymods cruises are the best everyone is friendly and theres no snobs, this cruise was excelent for quality of cars, but the atmosphere was crap, too many try hards .

This really was a cruise not to be missed, i nearly didnt go i could nt be bothered getting up that early on a sunday, Lucky i went , you can be guaranteed you wont see a cruise like this for ages.
