Hey Everybody
Just wondering how many people cruise down to Cronulla at night, i usually head down on a Sunday night and have a look at all the nice cars. Anyways i don't understand why when you drive/walk past some people's modified car they give you a 'what are you looking at' look!! I love it when people look at mine car thats why i lowered it and got an exhaust with a 3 inch tip that sets off car alarms, and put stickers(not too ricey, just plain) on my car that show the mods i've done, i mean in reality why do we do what we do. Ok Fair enough we love speed, or sound, but in the end we want a bit of attention right, having the chicks, or the guys (for all you chick-i-dee modders out the) looking at us. Just wondering if you like people looking at your car??

i used to like going to cronulla just for a surf but i tend to stear clear due to the ever increasing lebanese or asian gang presence. not meaning to be racist but often ive been there and gangs are at each other or hasseling young kids going for a surf. i go down to the gong i feel much safer.

I think it's got something to do with the tryhard fucking moron mentality that unfortunately seems to dominate a lot of the modified car scene these days. As harsh as that may sound, and even though i know it doesn't apply to most people on these forums, it is unfortunately the truth. It seems like these days, everyone's gotta be a hard kunt.

ok maybe ive just been on bad occasions.
during the day when ive been there with friends back when i was in school i remember times when one person would go to the shop or something and you would get singled out and surrounded by a group of young, (lebanese apearing) males whome would harras you and if you say anything back would all jump on the phone and call up all their mates cause obviously 10 of them isnt enough to take you on their own.
at night times when ive been there ive been minding my own bussiness when a group of around 20-30 middle-eastern men started heading to me and my friends way. we were just about to get the crap beat out of us when a equally large group of asian guys came outta nowhere and it was all on. so yay for gang warfare at that particular time.

I tend to agree with what everyone has said here. Whenever you go out you've got that constant thought in your head, that you could be attacked. It really sucks, cus it tends to ruin your night, I've never been set upon by any of these gangs, but i've had quite a few verbal assaults at myself and friends. Basically just keep walking its not worth the trouble, i went to school at Kogarah for 6 years, i'm and Irish Australian BTW, and never had any trouble, i had some Lebanese friends who were the nicest people you could ever know, as well as asians, indians and every other race. I JUST DONT WANT PEOPLE GENERALISING, its too easy to group all the 'lebs' or 'asians' and say there in gangs, there are some dickheads, but hey i've seen 'Aussie' gangs too!!

Well I used to live in bonnet bay and went to school at woolooware, never had any problem with 'ethic groups' when down that end of the shire, though miranda tends to get packed with em on the weekend.

Anyone ever watch that show on SBS called 'Pizza'?
They play on the 'wog/lebo' stereotype.
I always found it piss funny, especially since Im a little lebanese man myself and can relate to it.

i dont want to say that one group or another is bad. nor do i want to generalise people when the minority give the rest a bad name. its just hard do deny the facts. i know i will open a whole new can of worms here and its a touchy subject, but the ethnic leaders will cry out "we're all australians regardless of our backgrounds" but you walk up to one of these people and they will proudly tell you they are lebanese or what have you. its a sad time when a country such as australia can have people affraid to leave their homes for fear of ratial hatred and that goes for everyone.

i agree EVOSTI, its sad that there's some places that anglo-saxon Australians wouldn't dare enter, due to fear of being attacked. Look on a smaller scale, and why this discussion started, maybe in our on driving lives we can be a bit more tolerant. Whenever i drag someone, win or lose, i pull up next to em and give em a thumbs up, for a job well done, just realise we're all in this together, regardless of race!!

Except when you take on a certain red SX White4AGE. Isnt that right mate?
Then the thumbs up turns into a middle-finger up!
Only joking mate. Should cruise again soon with these guys, they are a good bunch of blokes.
Cya round
PS - here you are talking about racism and being tolerant of other races, yet you have a name of White4AGE. Unless you can prove to me that your 4AGE itself is right, then i think you are the cause of all Cronulla's racism problems. HAHA
