I need to make a video of myself

I have to make a video of myself. I have a video recorder (8mm tape) and some leads about three. I also have a video that has inputs for the video recorder. The video recorder has SVideo in the back as does my laptop. The laptop has a cd recordable drive. Is it possible for me to video on the recorder put it through the video player and into the laptop to record somehow.

Someone give me a shovel... I guess I was young and nieve, and sure the hamster gave me "love me eyes" and then there was the "love puff" ( flatulence) how was I to know that the hamster was only 16. I guess I am no longer allowed (court order) to go within 100 metres of
