Yes...
You need to find a 4KE manifold...
Good luck...

4k or 7k EFI manifold can be used.
Do a search plenty of info on the net about them.

Yeah, theyre just so hard to find... There was one on ebay back in about 2003 but oldcorollas got to it before me...
They aren't normally super expensive though...

actually i didn't get that one.... it was bought by someone from adelaide.
i brought mine back on a plane from Seattle!!
i have 7KE injection on mine atm, and i do have a 4KE setup as well, but i am keen to keep it (unless you can convince me otherwise)
oh.. my mate in the US is willing to send 4KE manifolds over, and there are guys in NZ who will also send them over. postage will be around $100 (20lbs of weight or so!!) so you could get a setup for maybe $300..
make SURE you get the rocker cover as well or you are screwed (filler is at the rear)
if you are keen to get one and don't wanna buy mine, i can put you in touch with ppl who will ship them.
this is the 7KE gear.
if i were you , i would learn about Megasquirt and use that to run the motor.

Is there much (any??) difference between the 4ke or the 7ke setup?
Ian.

if it was pro_ke selling that injection manifold on ebay, I was actually the guy that got it for him here in Melbourne.
I remember Alex telling me it came off some van or something?
I have a EA falcon singlepoint injection throttle body complete with injectors and all the wiring if you want to convert it that way using a redline weber adaptor plate.
PM me if you need more info

7KE = recent model townace SBV. now discontinued due to not passing new emissions (the K motors had a long long run!! 37 years?)

Oldcorollas, thanks for the link. The pictures make it very obvious. One more question. In the real world, does the difference in runner length make much difference to the performance? I would assume long runners more torque.

meh, who knows... it would totally depend on the engine type.
i find the 7KE manifold is not running out of puff at 8000.
both manifolds are 30mm diameter runners all the way from plenum to head. bigports are 30mm and i think this is good for very top end, but smaller ports are better for torque and midrange (ie less than 6000rpm).
the 4KE has a bit of a kink on the rear runners in the alloy section.
the 7KE comes with 50mm TB and 4KE = 40mm. i think 45mm is ideal for a highly strung 1300 (ala suzuki 1300's) but 50mm is not too touchy. 40mm is probably a good place to start.
the 4KE is better as an injector housing if you want to go quad TB's later on.
i was going to try both but i have run out of time. i may try them both when i come back with a slightly detuned motor.
