g'day guys

have a lil problem relating to the gearbox(suzuki vitara)

its not going into gear when the engine is on, but its ok when engine is turn off.

could it be the clutch?

maybe. If you can select reverse without any gear clash usally means there is a good chance your clutch is operating properlly.

It may be something in the gear box. such as you may have worn or damaged selctor forks maybe?

or as stupid as this sounds,maybe your gearbox has either insuffecnt oil or the oil is the wrong grade? (that's all I can think off mate) hope this might be oof some help Smile

Smile oil is ok, but it could be the wrong oil grade, or like you said the selector folks, or the clutch setting like fatboy said, taking it to the mechanic to have it look at tomorrow

maybe i brother should just send the Suziki to the scrapeyard and get a Toyota, this should fix the problem Smile hehehe

check the slave cylinder... i had the same problem.. check the fluid in the master cylinder to
