just wondering if it would be possible to fit the supra 5 speed into my st141 4 speed? What changes are needed? is it easier to fit the 5 speed out of another st141?
do you really need a supra box if your keeping the 2s-c cause i've trashed my ones for years and still hasn't *ucked up on me.
st141 gearboxes are hell cheap aswell. don't wanna waste money for something you don't need
A W55 is almost identical to a "big heavy Supra box" and weighs exactly the same. I doubt it would be much heavier than the stock 4-speed. And from the sounds of it he wants it for the extra ratio, not for the extra strength. An overdriven 5th gear makes all the difference on the highway.
I've never actually weighed either gearboxes it was pretty much a word for word quote from an internet site.
But if norbie says other wise then listen to him.
