Not sure what your putting the engine into, but sounds like a 7M-GTE would be a good option. With good engine management they produce great power.
Sounds like you have a 7M already, so a 7M-GTE should be a drop in. Pick one up cheap. Reco head and gasket, drop her in. Then you'll have plenty of cash to spare for management down the track.
Talk to SupraGTE from this forum.

gday michael
the 1jz was to go into a mx83 cressida, ive been looking for a chaser cut for over 2 months now, only ones ive found have been sold sometimes only minutes before ive rung
VERY frustraiting to say the least haha
ive kinda of given up on the whole conversion idea now
if i was to put a 7mge back into the cressida, i woulda sell it and import a soarer or supra
so if anyone is looking for a veryvery nice looking black cressida, like to be for sale soon

OK Ross,
If you sell your Cressida, I have an Oz delivered MA70 Supra Manual Supra Turbo I'll be putting on the market in a few weeks - in Sydney. I owned for about 12 years. Just did an engine rebuild. Has 200km on the engine plus lots of suspension, exhaust, urethane etc. Optional to sell a lot of spares - engine, turbo, rack etc.
I bought a TT Soarer in the meantime to get around, so I'm selling the MA70.
Happy to sell to enthusiast for $10K now, but once I advertise it will go up. If I have to re-rego in December it will go up again as well.
