 free driving game

 i'm going to download this, when i get to my lil sisters tomorrow (she has a connection that is faster to the crappy 14 400 bps, i have  )....
it is 10mb and spose to have different cars and tracks to download...
see how it goes anyway's....

xfader: thought you might have cable. Pity i live in the sticks and cant get it.  On the download site it says to turn the fog off and various other things in the gfx.ini file. As I said it helped a little. I will try it on my laptop tomorroe p4 1.7 .
Good car game played (demo is only out): V8 supercars australia, race driver. Awsome game. Cant wait till the full version comes out

v.49 keys
a = accel
space = shift up
downarrow = shiftdown
z = brake
v.50 keys
a = shift up
z = shiftdown
s = starter motoro if you stalled the car
up = go
down = brake

As has already been said, the game isnt bad for a free 6mb one...
i didnt really like it tho. found it hard to steer, change gears at the right time (whats with the big revs when changing gear?), and most of all, found it hard to brake!
graphics looked alright for what it is...
If some of you want to have a look at another free racing game, this one is a tad bigger to download, somewhere round the 50mb size....so might be more suited to you bandwidth ppl  , or ppl like me that are just big leechers on their dialups....

hmm this game seems easier to handle.. but using a mouse to drive the car Left click right click.. it just feels weird!
graphics are ok.. but hey its free =p

Looks like a fun game
but far out
i have a compaq laptop
700mghz pIII i think
and i load the game and its just nothin happens it seems like its doing 1 f per second or something
really screwy i wish i could play it and make my own cars on 3DS max eheh
oh well

The game is definately more easier to handle...i dont mind the whole mouse steering thing too....dont play that game much anymore but, now have NeedForSpeed Hot Pursuit 2! much better! hehe

i dunno whats going on there....
its cool how you can go into the settings on the car, drop it on its ass, stick the tires out heaps, and look at it racin! ahaha
And my mate informed me that when i change gears, im meant to take my finger off the Up button...inbuilt clutch or something like that....

Hey,
I downloaded it, and got it configured for the keyboard, but the program won't load? Anyone else having this problem? The computer is...
HP 8890
1.1GHz AMD Athlon processor
128Mb SDRAM
NVDIA video card
Any suggestions?

go into options, then controls...have a fiddle round in there..

Erm... I dunno, I'm a computer illiterate wacker I think I got DirectX 6 or 7.0 but I'm not too sure.
