I have been told putting the addative to your fuel will be just as affective as tacking the injectors out and having them cleaned.

Anyone else have different thoughts.

I think oil companies have already put all the additives needed into our gasoline. If your injectors are cloged by crap, take them into ultrasound wash.

bahaha never. that is complete bullshit.
additives are a waste of money in my opinion. i would onyl use them to try and keep them clean, never to clean already dirty ones.

but you cannot pull injectors appart they ar incased, the only thing they could do is bath them in a cleaning solution, Isnt that what the additive is doing.

the additive will be a small amount of cleaning solution being injected through.

take them to a shop and they will put them on machine that sends a cleaning solution through the injector while hitting it with ultrasonic pulses to break up the crud. this is doing it properly.

The other advantage of cleaning them off the car is that you can flow test them and see that they are clean.

Can dirty clogged injectors mean poor fuel economy?

Off car injector cleaning - you get:

drip test
flow test
spray pattern test
replacement of o-ring seal
and a proper cofirmed clean of all injectors

I believe the rate is about $30 - $40 per injector, plus removal and refit.
