hey guys, yes i searched and i already know how to hook it all up but the exact wiring of the fuel pumps is what i want to know.
SOOOOOOOO i wanna know how people have wired their lift and HP pumps?
iv been told to wir them together and off to the ECU (Haltech F9) but should they be wired in series or parrallel????
or should they be wired seperately???
thanks

If you wire them in series, the supply voltage will be dropped across the 2 pumps.
ie. if you have 2 identical pumps and a supply of 12V, each pump only gets 6 V.
Wire them in parallel and each pump gets a full 12V.

thanks gabe. it doesnt matter that ones a pierburg 8psi pump and the opther is a VL turbo pump?
my main concern is that it is controlled by the ECU and therefore if it needs more fuel then both will flow more and therefore im worried that the lift pump will over load or am i just too worried for nothing?
thanks again

Yeah worried for nothing.
Obviously they are both 12V pumps so they need to be wired in parallel.
The pump will draw as much current as it needs. It will draw more current if it stuffed ie. short in the windings etc, or if you stall it somehow, like blocking it mechanically etc. (use a filter to protect your pumps)
If they are brand new pumps they should be fine.
Might be worth your while having the low pressure pump power up first to 'prime' your surge tank. Its bad to run a pump with no fuel running through it as some pumps use the petrol to cool the pump.
Use an aux output to drive your high pressure pump.
Just a suggestion....

you are using relays for this? 10amps thru an ECU can't be a good thing for long ;P

You think i wouldnt? The Haltech has its own relay for fueling.

The E6X runs two external relays. One for the Fuel, and one for something else (cant quite remember)
