I used to watch it on sbs when it originally aired and was one of the first anime series I loved, until it got totally unbearable towards the later episodes. And the final one is just insane and too drug induced.

The last 2 movies after the series are insane and leave you wondering what the hell you just watched. Not for people that want to watch a simple cartoon

I watched it back in my high school days, 5 years ago...sheesh!
I have never seen Genesis Reborn, but when I watched it I went..
- All Eps
- Death & Rebirth(crazy)
- End Of Evangelion
It made sense, as in it was in order, but the movies themselves, D & R and E of E are pretty psycho.
Kenshin is good anime to get into after that, damn kool!

Bloody oath he was. I wanted to punch his whining face in EVERY episode. Awesome series though. I've seen all the episodes + 2 of the movies but can't remember which two (was a while ago). Pretty hard to follow if you don't watch it all in one sitting.

I've got ALL (3 series, 3 movies, 1 "movie") of the Kenshin/samurai X series. I love the way the eppisodes build up and the last one of each series is gripping.
The out-takes are funny too.

Evangelion is a great series of anime
best watched with a few beers or cones under your belt before sitting thru an entire DVD
interesting mix of shinto and christianity with some rather novel views of what holds for humanity after the next apocalypse.

Thats because Vampire Hunter D was made by the same people that made the best Jap Anime ever - NINJA SCROLL. The one movie I can watch over and over and over again. "The Koga team's woman ninja, she uses a very interesting technique"

I don't think Neon Genesis ended weird, and all drug induced. it suits the true Jap anime style. the first episode starts half way through the plot, then it jumps back in time and tells the story from the start. if you want to see some real wack shit, watch the Beserk series. now thats a sword

I love the Berserk series! Its awesome up to the 2nd last one (or 3rd last), then it goes to shit.
I love the way everyone calls him the Century Slayer because he killed 100 men by himself.
Great plot, great characters. Really well done anime.

Yeah its a pity that they have ended on that note.. i believe they should continue the series as it is left incomplete. i just want to see Gutz get back at Griffin with that behemoth sword
