Hey all, just toying with the idea of selling my pride and joy.
1990 JZA70 Targa Top
Manual
Black
Strut Brace
Full 3.5' JUN exhaust
3' Dump Pipe
HKS Filter
Apexi RSM
Greddy Turbo Timer
White 17x8, 17x9 Enkei Racing Wheels (good tread)
Pioneer MP3 player
Fire Extinguisher
Nardi Personal steering wheel
Razo Gearnob
Aircon
Full electrics
Standard suspension (can provide king springs)
Still has the Flare in the glove box! (been meaning to set that off)
11 months rego
I dont know how many of these cars were made from the factory, but yeah... this is ur chance to own one.
The stock suspension is NOT TEMS. The car drives beautifully, has a great note from the exhaust. Not the perfect car for the 1/4mile... but... if u like to cruise on the freeway, or (not that i have done this myself) race on the freeways... it has some very long legs.
The car has never run anymore than the stock boost, although on a cold night the car may hit fuel cut if you decide to floor it for a prolonged perioud of time, this is due to the exhaust.
The body is in good condition, no rust, there are a few slight scratches but nothing that will show after a good polish. There are NO leaks from the targa top and all seals appear to be in good order.
I am open to offers around the $18k mark
Regards
Andrew
Will try to get some pics up tonight

I can vouch for this car being bloody nice. It can walk all over anything at top speed, bloody long legs it has. The white enki's on it suit it alot better than the wheels pictured too.

why wouldnt it be good for 1/4 mile times ? its a twin turbo straight six.....
got a aftamarket cooler or standard ? ive heard most alarms cant be hooked up with greddy timers, is the alarm and the timer hooked in together ?
did all the jza's run non tems ? i thought they all did. is this a recent import ? ( guessin it is with the flare in the g/box )
just questions, not attackin ur thread.

Howdy! yeah the turbo timer and alarm are hooked up together, not all JZA70's came with TEMS... the turbo R didnt have it, like i said, im not sure if this is a factory special or what, targa, manual, no tems, analog dash... what ever it is, who ever buys it will have a ball in it, i know i have
My old car was a low 12sec JZA61... so compared to that... its not that quick. It will do high 13's all day. The fact that the engine is basically stock was a huge selling point for me, this means that the engine hasnt been flogged to death.
Hehehe thanks Peeack... u'll be right when u get rid of speed cut.
I will take some pics tomorrow, sorry about the delays

just out of curiosity, i was under the impression that a targa top had a central bar going through the roof, and the roof came off in 2 panels...
and yeah... i'll take it... *turns pockets inside out* errr.... will $1.65 be near enough? i'll let you have my car too

that's fair enough, i but was under the impression that targa top by definition had the central bar... i thought there was another name given to the likes of this supra... oh well... i can't think of any other name, so it must just be in my head

Nope, it's not in your head. This isn't a Targa top, it's an Aero top. Targa top has the bar through the middle. I think Toyota is insane for goin with an Aero top rather than Targa on the Supra's. While I think it looks a touch better, you sacrefice a lot of body strength. There have been tales for JZA80s twisting after some modifications to the Aero top models.
Oh and bump.
Oh and nice car. Wish it was under $15 and my loan hadn't been rejected.
