A guy rear ended me today - he has no insurance - how do i go upon this? Wed, 09 March 2005 10:06 Go to next message
Hey all

all i goto say is "bloody volvo drivers" Laughing

The guy rear ended me this morning *for u melbournians it was infront of monash university on wellington*

He has no insurance but a very nice guy i have to admit, who agreed to pay whatever it would cost

But i have a feeling that he expected it to be around 1k, coz wen i rung him up with a comprehensive quote made 30mins later on the damage, totalled to a little under $3000, he seemed preti shocked.

Newais has anyone delt with an accident that wasnt ur fault and the other person has had no insurance?

This guy who hit me doesnt make much money and has to get a loan to pay for my damage, if the loan doesnt get approved i dont know how im going to get the money.

And where does all the melbourne sprinter guys bring their cars for panel beating?????

Cheers
Choony

PS: Who wants pics of the accident?

he has to pay, have you reprted it to the police yet? in nsw it is the law to report all accidents to the police within 24hours.
if you go to the police and say he admitted being at fault then he will have to pay for repairs one way or another

Laughing thanks for that dude

I just called the guy
the country bumpkin *he's from the country with pure country accent* HAS FULL COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE

At first he said he didnt know, then he said he doesnt have insurance, i just called him and it was his mothers cars, and he's listed as 2nd driver for it.

So everything should be sweet!

Ignore this post everyone

Thanks for all help

If you are insured all you have to do is tell the insurance company and give them the details of the person that hit you. Its up to them to get the money then.
