i'm loving it.. got the $199 pack from EB

my first car is an ST205 GT4 with racing exhaust, racing IC, full custom GB, racing flywheel, 3 plate clutch, chip, port/polish and pulling 320kw odd and 12.7 quarters Very Happy

i'm still getting the hang of the wheel, but it's sooo much better'n the controller..

oh if you want some fun, use the diahatsu midget to rally on arcade.. it's hell fun!

*of to play now*

*edit* fixed model

Go to special races, then go to the rally where your driving next to the medeteranian sea, can't remember the name, you race for 2 laps one race, then 2 laps of the same track backwards and you win some form of a FWD rally car, toyota i think? SCR or something, and its worth 260 K. and you can do it over and over.

Gran turisimo is so dodgy like that you can continuosly win the same car in an event, in the XBOX equivalent GT2002 once a car was one you can't win it again meaning if sold the car is gone forever until you start a new game.

Yes but GT2002 isn't 10% as good a game as GT is.

Try explaining how 4wd cars have less traction than FWD in that game.

yeah i know it isn't anywhere near as good, fwd also have far less power than the 4wd, pretty much anycar in that game suffers from oversteer bar the front drivers and there is no brake lock up, i played it yesterday brought it back out the skylines any 4wd car sucks the big one, rwd all the way mind you the supra was a bit of a handful, just wants to wheel spin the whole race, pretty much coast around the track on light throttle.
i really want forza, apparently the demo is in the new XBOX official UK mag i might get it and see if its as good as cracked up to be, i really want GT4 but just can't justify buying the ps2 just for it.

well.. then also add up the number of cars to buy and mod in gt4, you NEED to win it again to be able to get the money to do all that
and if your against it, if u don clear ur scores.. you still win prize money but not the car.. your choice

Nurburg ring is the best. The last few corners after the straight are flat out, so much fun. The old leman track is great to with the huge mulsane straight. fastest so far is 375km/h.
The blitz skyline is awesome fun.

Yeah i've been playing in the special conditions hall, if you win Rally d' Capri on easy, you get a Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car '02, which is worth about $265,000. and the race is pretty easy, your normaly against like an 82 quatro or something else you can easily beat.

Yes, it is a POS. as is the hachi. No you cant repaint which licks the bag, and you can get cars dirty, you can wash them, you also need to change our oil, and you also loose fuel in races.

Does anybody know how to use nos? It sais R1 in the book but it don't work?

I bought the game today, and i have a worked s14 and r32 gtr, also i found NOS Very Happy , i love the realism of the game, when it comes on boost you can really feel it and then a shot of Nos and hold on Shocked .
Then again the realism could also be that i have a 300inch projector screen infront of me running in 5.1 Dolby Optical Cool .

Yeah GT 4 is great but doesnt anybody have any complaints about the fact that no matter what car you have you cannot rip hellis no matter how hard you try it simply wont do it! ridiculous!

ohh jag i agree with you bout the M3 CSL, mine puts out the same figures but their bloody awesome to drive, mines got me down to a 7:20 on the Nring, have you won the M3 gtr yet?? race the M3 series in the manufacturers challenge and you should get your GTR... havent modded mine yet but it should be good!

So no fishies and no helis....makes me mad that.
can any one relate to that??
cheers Will.

Cant get the D1 cars to drift...... how succy!
Tried all diff settings and tyres....
The dynamics of the game seem like there are different limits to where u break rear traction, but once you do no rcovery or slowing it back down.........
Anyone succeeded yet beside high speed drifts in races.....

yeah ive gopt one race left to win the m3 gtr.. but ive had lots of work to do so have had ot put the game down.
I could never get a full lap out of my m3 because its sprung to hard and it would get unstable at high speed and I refuse to put a wing on it, i wouldnt doubt it getting 7 flat with a GOOD run. I havent had a decent play with the suspension settings yet, but i will when i play again.. what settings do you use?
My workmate in canada sais the m3 gtr is awesome when done up

You might know this but it helps to use real life tyres and swicth the traction mods off. Dont like using the pad much

My PS2 just shit itself Crying or Very Sad , after a race i see a red loading icon and it never stops, the cdrom looks like its had it...Has anyone had problems like this with their PS2?

the red icon indicates the ps2 is not reading the disc,

perhaps this may help,

http://www.classicplastic.net/dvgi/...PS2cleaning. htm

I took the game back today, my ps2 scratched the disc, he just gave me a new game Smile. I just fund out today that many people all over the world are getting the problem with gt4, gt4 was burnt as a movie so the disc spins backwards and if your laser is dirty it wont read it properly.
