AE92 offset required Wed, 09 March 2005 22:53 Go to next message
Hi Guys

I just put 195/50 R15's on my AE90 (see pic in Member's rides). They are rubbing a little bit on the rear strut tower (must be during hard cornering or something.) I did not check the offset on the wheels when I bought them. What kind of offset should I be using?

Mate,

I think the AE92 is around +45mm offset.
If you have a look at the Standard Alloy Wheel, it will be cast into it. eg. 14x6JJ ET45

The 20V conversion looks very neat. How does it go ?

Cheers
T.

Trevtrev,

Looks like the SX Alloys might be +35mm.

Look here :"http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=49482&rid=832&S=186328951627b51f5f90d9b8 e0bfb457&pl_view=&start=0#msg_451671"

So how is the 20V ? Spanked in Bogans in commodores ?

Cheers
T.

T. Sorry I never answered your question as to how the 20V goes. I think it goes pretty sweetly myself. Revs well. I have the AE101 strut brace and washer bottle in now and the brace really does help the handling.

You hear a lot of people bagging the 20V's and saying how much better the 4agZe's are. Well for my little car the extra $1300 was not in the budget. Then you have extra rego costs etc.
But then the car used to have 1.4L carby in it, so it was always going to be a massive improvement.
