Info needed Imported 1990 Supra

Ok, I'm just after a little bit of info.
I am looking into a Supra, but he said its an import, has digital dash etc, and it has a 7MGTE, and I asked him to read me the Model No. on the compliance plate and he said it was an ma70?
Ok so I'm a little confused. As far as I was aware, the Oz delivered supras were ma70 & 71, non-turbo & turbo. Both 7m's.
I know of the JZA70 and GA70 1j and 1g's but I haven't ever heard of a turbo MA70... unless done after market?
Am i correct in saying this or is there another model that I have missed before?
If so, the imported 7MGTE's are no different to the Australian ones?
Here are the specs on the Supra:
1990 Toyota Supra
Auto
7MGTE - 3.0ltr 24v DOHC Turbo
Targa Top
All electrics, P/S, A/C, P/W, P/M, Electric Seats, Digital Dash
Leather Interior
Black
Any info is greatly appreciated...

There are a zillion variations of the Mk3 Supra, and we only got a couple of them in Australia. The same options were available in Japan as well, so there's no reason why an imported MA70 can't exist with a 7M-GTE. I've seen them around before.

a long time ago when i was selling parts off my front cut i was talking to a MK3 owner (Michael aka "JZZ30Man" i think) and he was saying that when demand was high for the turbo Mk3 toyota was putting turbo engines into chassis that were designated MA70 to keep up with the demand.
true or rumour *shruggs*

The 7m versions of the mk3 supra were originally "supposed" to be designated ma70 for the non turbo and ma71 for the turbos. I think due to demand on the turbo models though, they ended up being pretty much all ma70's. And yes the japs had the ma70 with the 7mgte up until 1990, and this _was_ eligible for import, as was the jza70 and the ga70s.

Mate,
You've got my car! 'cept mines a '90.
10 bucks says its a GT Limited MA70. Leather seats, auto, turbo, aero roof, digital dash. I think these also came out with the 5 way HKS suspension as standard.
Theres another one in the tradingpost, but thats an '88 model.
How much is it? What aftermarket bits are on it? I got some great aftermarket stuff on mine.
Make sure you get a copy of the import papers as you'll need them for the pits.
When was it imported?
