Hey everyone,
Just sayin hello and I have re ignited my first love for the RA,TA23 Celica.... well I always loved em..
But I am getting one a TA23 that has been stripped of all rust, treated, primed and ready for painting.
I am going to have a tricky time choosin a nice colour to paint her.. Any colours never been done... Hot pink with a purple pearl.. One combo I will not touch I think...
She is all naked at the moment, I am going to get her painted up smick maybe a nice pearl job, keepin all the chrome where it is meant to be then do an engine install...
1G-GTE is popular or maybe the 2L Turbo, but the 1G seems to be pretty cheap... Relatively speakin
Any one who has done conversions of any kind let me know how you went, give me +'s and -'s what you would do to make it easier etc... In a RA, TA23 or similiar.....
Like whether the 1G is better in yer opinion or just a 4AGTE with loads of boost....
Whatever I am open to suggestions and to get tips from guru's who have been there done that...
Thanx...
Ciao...

How much power do you want & how do you want the car to handle?
The bigger the motor the heavier, & a fair bit of power can be had from small motors these days.

I would like something with a couple hundred ponies that would do me for a bit...
I want good handling and braking of course why would you do a car up to go real fast if it cannot stay on the road safely..
I would not say that the 1G-GTE is a heavy motor, but toyo make a lot of good motors so it will come down to, $$ and availibility.
Ciao..
